Georg is an internationally recognized author, scientist, speaker, and trainer in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – an integrative approach to life and psychotherapy. ACT uses mindful acceptance, change, compassion, and meditation to increase psychological health and wellness. Essentially, ACT helps us learn ways to let go of our struggle with psychological pain, be more mindful, get clarity on what really matters to us, and to start living full, vibrant lives.
Georg is also a professor emeritus of psychology at Chapman University in Orange County. He lives right next to the beautiful Olympic National Park near Port Angeles in Washington State.
As an active developer, researcher, and practitioner of ACT and meditation (TM), Georg is the author and coauthor of several popular books, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for Anxiety Disorders, The Mindfulness & Acceptance Workbook for Anxiety, ACT on Life, Not On Anger, and Your Life on Purpose.
